Season 6 trailer, story, characters, and more: what we know so far

In the final season of Snowfall, a significant threat looms over the Saint family. It remains to be seen whether Franklin can withstand government pressure and keep his narcotics business running. The official trailer for the upcoming season is available here:

There appears to be severe chaos in Los Angeles, as shown in the teaser, with gang confrontations and high-profile drug sales. C.R.E.A.M. by the Wu-Tang Clan also plays throughout the teaser, hinting at the violent environment fans can expect in the new season.

According to the official description of the upcoming snowfall season,

“In the sixth and final season of FX’s Snowfall, a civil war threatens to destroy the Saint family.”

It continues,

“Franklin (Damson Idris) is faced with losing everyone he loves and all he’s created, and getting through it will entail out-maneuvering the KGB, the DEA, and the CIA, as well as dodging the LAPD’s corrupt C.R.A.S.H units. “Who will they become to survive when their backs are against the wall?”

Series co-creator and executive producer Dave Andron described the show’s final season as “surprising and emotional” in an interview with TVLine. He also spoke about Damson Idris’ performance as Franklin Saint, saying:

“He has to live. There’s always a risk in what he’s doing, but he needs to go after the CIA and Teddy to get his money back. The stakes are enormous. He is expecting a child. He’s all in, and we’ll have to figure out who he is and what he’s willing to do in order to find out.”

He continues, ”

“I believe we ended up telling the story in a truly unexpected and inevitable way. It’s extremely emotional, and I believe it’s extremely rewarding, which is exactly what he would have desired. I believe he’d be pleased with where we ended up.”

In Snowfall, Damson Idris plays Franklin Saint, Carter Hudson as Theodore “Teddy” McDonald / Reed Thompson, Emily Rios as Lucia Villanueva, Sergio Peris-Mencheta as Gustavo “El Oso” Zapata, Michael Hyatt as Cissy Saint, and Amin Joseph as Jerome Saint. Angela Lewis as Louanne “Louie” Saint, Juan Javier Cardenas as Alejandro Usteves, Isaiah John as Leon Simmons, and Filipe Valle Costa as Pedro Nava are among the other notable actors in key roles.
